Someone in my company recently asked this question so I broke out my old cheat sheet. So I figured I would share it with you all incase anyone ever wondered.

I used to have a sheet with that on it but lost it. Thank you.

I am a bit confused by the drawing. Is the pipe suppose to fit horizonatally or diagonally between the joists.

It is just showing the max stick of pipe you can "fish" up into the joists based on depth and spacing. It is just a general guide. It helps when deciding if you need to cut your pipe into 10'6 or smaller when going through joists / trusses.
