Is there a maximum length that diagonal rod bracing may be used for lateral roof trusses after which you revert to an angle section?
My understanding is that pretension will negate most of the sag or alternatively they could be supported via the roof purlins.
I have diagonal members that will be up to 10m to 11m long and was wondering if that is too much for rods even through the tension capacity is fine.

Rods that long might get kinks from handling. Maybe you'd be better using cables. Structurally, there is no reason why rods or cables can't be used if they can be prevented from flapping about with stress reversal. Support by roof purlins should be sufficient to prevent that.
