Anyone aware of any websites which can calculate the stress on bolts where the motor is D flange (B5 in europe) mount? Alternatively any clever folks out there have suitable formula.

I'm meaning horizontal a.c. induction motors which have added length and weight through brakes, encoder and electrical cooling fan added.

The problem is more mechanical than electrical. As far as I know, it could be simplified assuming that the flange rabbet fit will take most of the shear stress, the bolts then will handle the reaction to the flexural moment due to the cantilever condition of the center of gravity. Since the number of bolts and position affect the results, I don’t expect a simple formula, consult some mechanical engineering.
