Greetings,

We have an MCU-172A 8A drive that 1) has an arc "scar" on the left hand plastic case that matches two other like drives in the plant. 2) This thing is tripping with all LEDs flashing and disrupting communication to MCU-PIT software, so MCU-PIT has NO alarms to read.

Are either of these known issues for the MCU 172A? If so can you send me to the document describing these?

I have been seeking a forum that that has practical and technical discussions on PLCs and Motor Drives. For now Siemens gear are my focus.

If this isn't "the place" please point me somewhere. Not to Siemens Forums though. These guys love to refer you to their service department without answering a question.
