Hello,
I am looking to cut MDF on a 2.2kw bysprint. I am looking for some advice regarding doing this such as parameters etc. Also, if its 6mm MDF, would you sent the material thickness to 6mm, and turn of height sensing..? Im fairly new to this and not sure if when the head comes down will it detect when it is just above the mdf?

Thank you for all advice given.
Simon.

height sensing will not work if the material does not conduct electricity. I would get a MSDS and see what harm could it cause to the operator. If no harm, then lock the cutting head at a fixed height, use a nitrogen parameter of equal thickness. Stainless Steel is always a good start.

Thanks for the reply. I'm aware of the safety aspects and will only give it a go once adequate ventilation is put in. Thanks, sjcLaser
