Wondering if there are materials databases out there that can be imported into ideas to figure out inertial values. I thought our install came with all materials files, but i guess not. Current we are typing in each material's properties?

You have to run the DMADMIN tool to install the material and feature databases that come with I-DEAS (these are quite a few). There has been a thread in this forum that explains what to do.

Daniel,

Thanks for the tip, I will do a thread search and see what steps it takes to install these databases of material information.
