I work in an industry where electronic control and monitoring is becoming more and more popular. I even have a patent in the works for a device that uses electronic control of a (normally) hydraulic system. I know enough about electronics to create basic schematics and PCB layouts using simple components (logic gates, transistors, LEDs, etc.) but I would like to learn more. My goal is to obtain enough knowledge to design PCBs that utilize microcontrollers, MOSFETS, and implement circuit protection. What I would like to know is if there is any kind of electronics training course/certification tailored specifically for Mechanical Engineers?
