Hello,
In the Measure dialog in v 12.0.2, what is the best was to obtain a delta XY measurement? I have tried using a Vector object but that does not seem to be the correct method. I have looked in the preferences but have not seen anything pertaining to delta XY.

I am sure I am missing something; this was basic, default output in the previous measure dialog version.

Any ideas?

Expand the "settings" section of the measure dialog then go into "preferences"; in the preferences dialog, turn on the "display x, y, z delta values" option.

Yes, they are checked, thank you. The results display is still showing delta values for X, Y and Z individually but not delta XY.

@TaylorAnderson
I wonder if development left it out intentionally.

That is the output I am looking for. Still looking for how to that in v12, and later.

If you change the reference csys option to WCS in the settings section, it will report the 2D distances (XY, YZ, and XZ) w.r.t. the WCS. I've not found an option (in NX 12) to get the same info for the absolute csys (like in older versions).

I have the Ref CSYS set to WCS but it still returns just delta
values in single directions only, X, Y or Z but not XY.

Update:
I just noticed that XY, YZ and XZ values are only shown in the Information Window
and it will not display until the Measure dialog is closed.

Well that could not be more inconvenient!!!

ER on the way...

I'm running 12.0.2.9; if I hit "apply", the information window appears and the measure dialog stays open. However, the objects are deselected, so the overall effect is essentially the same.

Got it; thank you!

I am so used to using Chain of Objects for Measurement Method that I never use Apply for measuring anymore.
*facepalm
