measuring a flange thickness

I asked our analyst to be sure a meshed parasolids model was imported in the correct scale by measuring the thickness of a flange, going node-to-node, or measuring a line. He went looking (unsuccessfully) for commands like "distance", "lenght", and "measure." He even searched help I believe.

Can somebody help point him in the right direction?

There are two options here: (1) if you have the geometry, you can type llist,p and pick the line for the flange thickness and press OK. In the dialogue box that appears it will show you the line length. Option (2) is to type nlist,p and pick the two nodes across the flange distance. In the subsequent box that appears you can see the coordinates for these nodes, so just do a bit of subtracting and you can obtain the thickness this way.

You could also use the KDIST or the NDIST commands. These are available in the preprocessor menu. modeling/check geom/KP distances or ND distances.
