Hi,
I need to measure the interface hydrocarbons/water in monitoring wells. the problem is that we have several wells where we want to monitor this in the same time and the level is related to the tide. We don't want to use interface dip meters as we'll waste time cleaning the dipmeter and we can't do it for long term. Is it any better solution than iterface meters?
Thanks

Mihnea

I've never come across a datalogger that can measure the interface. Have you called Solinst or In-Situ? I suppose you could place two floats with logging capabilities in the well, one for the hydrocarbon and one for water. Are these 4-in wells?

Have you done any LIF to characterize the LNAPL in the subsurface? This might give you just as much information if done in conjunction with LNAPL monitoring using a handheld meter at various times.
