Hi everybody !

I'm having trouble finding out how I could get exact values or a graph representing the end geometry after an explicit impact onto a surface.

Description of the simulation:
Explicit, high-velocity impact of a small water drop onto an aluminium plate (--> water jet cutting).

What I need/want:
I need a way to get data about the depth and the diameter of the dent/crater. Since the impact happens in an angle of 90° to the surface, everything should be symmetric and the dent should be circular.

How can I make a "cut" through the center of the dent and retrieve the exact contour/geometry of the dent ? I think it would the best/easiest to have the exact values from ABAQUS and then creating a graph in a different program.
X-Z-graph:
X: depth of the dent
Z: distance from the center of the impact

Thanks for your help !
