Hi guys,

I'm researching on a bmw car right now and the material is made from HC1000W? I have no idea what that is and I believe that is under an EN 10XXX standard code. If anyone can guide me where to find the properties of this steel then that will be awesome.

The steel is called HC1000W and is used to make A-Pillars on BMW Series 5 car.

At first I believe it was High Carbon Tungsten but I don't think that is it. I uploaded a picture for you guys to look at.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

It is a colled rolled alloy steel. Not sure but EN 10268 can be the applicable standard.
