Hi,
Attached the image of shoe plate for AIFR.Could not match the holes of fabric shoe clamp with that of shoe plate unless we overlap the first embossing of two shoe plates. Also, if we do like this the overlapped embossing is left empty without the fabric clamp. Is this correct? Kindly share your ideas. Thanks in advance.

Ideally the manufacturer sent drawings and instructions. If not yell at them and never buy from them again! In any case, the seal must be continuous around the tank, so either the shoes overlap or there is a flexible splice that spans the space between shoes. The seal must be able to accommodate a plus or minus 4 inch variation in the rim space so the shoe overlap or edge to edge space must be allowed to vary as the local tank circumference varies. I would not overlap the shoes so the bolt holes line up. If you overlap the shoes so the bolt spacing across the lap is identical to the bolt spacing in the middle of the shoe, is there enough lap? Your shoe seal vendor should have taken these an other design requirements into account, but maybe they just copied another and don't understand the small details that make or break a good design. I'm not asking whose seal this is but if you have drawings, a list of material or other pictures that show all the parts posting might help us help you.
