Dear colleagues,

I am trying to ´design a fitting or intermediate mechanism that allows me the next two situations between two plates /parts. (See the humble sketch attached)

Situation 1:
A force F is applied on the plate 1 in Y-Direction and transferred through the required mechanism to the plate 2. (pin-fix Y behavior)

Situation 2:
A force F is applied on the plate 2 in Y-Direction and no forces are transferred to the plate 1 (like an elongated hole) (pin-free Y behavior)

I have though in a king of mechanism that when F is applied on plate 1 clamps a pin or rectangular plate attached to the plate 2 (this bolt or plate from plate 2 would be on an elongated hole allowing the free movement)

Does someone have a good advise/idea or know a mechanism that allow me this two situations?

Thanks in advance!
