I have an assembly of a couple of parts that assemble in an odd way. They come in various sizes must pass through a narrow pipe section of various diameters and lengths. We know that we can fit through a larger assembly than the nominal pipe size by tilting and rotating the assembly as it passes through the smaller pipe section. We need to refresh the matrix that shows which sizes will/won't fit together without building mockups. We've tried stepping the assembly into position but it's way too many manual operations to do for all cases.

From a CAD-talk point of view, I need a simulation tool that can handle collision-detection and movement of partially constrained pieces. Does Mechanism Design or any other Creo 2.0 option support this? If not, is there a 3rd party software that could take IGES/STEP/etc solid models and simulate these awkward assemblies?
