memory problem

I´m working on impact problems with explicit. I´m simulating problems with DOF from 500.000 to 1.000.000. For this problem size, abaqus recommeds a pre_memory value of at least 750 Mb. I´ve set it to 1024 Mb in the environmet file and my computer has 2 Gb of RAM.
The input file procesor doesn´t go well and it says me:
""ABAQUS Error: The executable C:\ABAQUS\6.4-3\exec\pre.exe
aborted with system error "Acces denied." (error code 5).""

I´t must be a memory problem because with smaller problems (less than 500.000 DOF) it works well, but why???? If the pre_memory settings are well defined and my machine is enough powerfull...

Hello Daviz,

I had that problem, but only when i put more pre-processor memory, not only 1024mb, but you can try put less memory in pre-processor. abaqus had a limitation procedure in 32-bit processor, and you can't use all memory that is in the system, in your case 2GB. try to put less than 1000mb.
