Hi,

In the recent R16 release ANSYS added the very much usefull (in my opinion) mesh quality indication by color.
The company I work for is thinking about purchasing the Explicit STR package and I was wondering about an issue.
Currently, for explicit analysis I am using FEMAP as a pre/post with the ADINA solver. The FEMAP pre/post has an option to color elements with "explicit time step", meaning, the smallest element, that will determine the smallest time step is colored in red, and the legend is set from the smallest time step (estimated by size and density) to the largest time step.
This is very helpfull, since it is very easy to pin point the smallest element, figure out what will be its impact on the solve time, and then it is easier for me to determine wheather to edit this area, and eliminate this element or just let it be.

I didnt see this functionality in the R16 release, do you know if it is possible? if ANSYS is going to implement this? And if it is possible to send an improvement request to ANSYS to include this in the next releases?

Thanks.
