I'm having some trouble getting a feature to work that I believe should be pretty straight forward. I have a .jt format of a solid body created from Pro/E. I open this file within NX 9 and everything appears normal. I then create a solid mesh on the geometry, again, everything looks fine.
The issue arises when I try and update the JT file. I go to File -> Properties, go to the "JT File" tab and hit "Update Part File". It is my understanding that the geometry should update, but still retain the ability to update the FEM. When I go back to my FEM, there is no option to update the mesh. It's as if it has just deleted my solid mesh. I've tried this with both a minor change to the geometry in Pro/E, and a new JT file, as well as just hitting "Update Part File" without replacing the JT file. Neither way works as it should. I've already asked some fellow engineers who use the same process and they were stumped.
Any hints?
Thanks,
Kyle
