Hi,
when I close an assembly, the message appear when I close the assembly.
Can I avoid this message ?
If the assembly contain a lot of parts....this message become very, very annoying.
I set like the image attached, but nothing, the message remain after closed and open again NX.

Thank you...

This has nothing to do with whether the part is read-only or not (which is what the Customer Default setting are for). It's simply informing you that you've modified a part and it's giving you the opportunity to save your changes. What exactly would you prefer that the system do in a case like this?

I like that message because it tells you that some component of a large assembly has been changed while open in your session of NX. It then gives you the chance to determine why it may have changed and then save it, if needed. You will see that message frequently if you just upgraded to a new version of NX as all files in the old version wil be upgrade and marked as modified when opened.
I would rather be told some component has changed and have the opportunity to save my work than lose it like the CAD system I use now does. I get one question when I exit, Are you sure? How try to figure out if some component was changed and you forgot to save it.

The message that I attached, it's an information message.
This message exits on close assembly part that is in read-only when contained part was modified from the last saved.
On a big assembly there are lot and lot of this message and on closing I click on the mouse 150 time.
Solutions ?

Thank you...

Hi looslib,
this message is not the case that you describe.
This message exit on read-only assembly with read-only part that was modified from the last assembly saving.

Thank you...

Are you using the 'Save All' option? If so try using 'Save' and if that's still too much for you, and if all you wish to do is save the Assembly, then while IT'S the Work part, select the 'Save Work Part Only' option.

To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

The steps are :
1) Save the big assembly without message
2) Close the big assembly with the X icon
3) Messages appear for each read-only sub-assembly that as modified part after when the sub-assembly become read-only(approved).

Thank you...

I can't say how this would behave when running under Teamcenter, but when running native, no matter how many read-only parts have been modified, when I close the assembly I only have to make a SINGLE acknowledgment that; 'YES, I understand that there are modified parts which are NOT going to be saved'.

If you instead use File - Close - Selected parts, there is an option "force close if modified" that I think will skip the warning messages.

Hi,
with your suggestion I've found the solution.

Thank you a lot.
