I've looked in the forum for info, and I've checked my config.pro to see if there's a command for doing this. Since I have found no success, I post it to the masses:

How do I move the message log from displaying at the top, down to display at the bottom? I'm in WF5. Apparently this was a customizable option in previous versions of ProE.

Thanks!

It was under the Tools-Customize Options tab prior to WF5.
The relocation of the message bar has been removed from WF5.

So, you mean to tell me that ProE is a program which basically *forces* the user to customize almost *everything* they have to do, but decided to take away something as simple as message log placement? Really? /Fail. lol

The default position of the message bar was at the bottom prior to WF4 when it was changed to the top. You could still move it back to the bottom. I heard the move to the top was the result of numerous requests to PTC to do that.

So... it can, or cannot be moved to the bottom in WF5?

Cannot be moved in WF5. At least as far as I have found.

You can probably create a mapkey for activating the message Log from the Pull down menu.

Info > Session Info > Message Log
and resizing the window to the side or bottom of your screen.

I'm sure eventually well get the option back in the creo 3.0 timeframe.

While it makes sense to put the messages up top when doing tutorials or web videos, it should be up to the user and not a result of the stupid programming of the failed (up to this point) drawing tab interface.
