Dear All

Happy new year.

I was trying to simulate a deep drawing problem (Abaqus/Explicit), letting a punch moving downwards by the amount of 0.031 inch. This problem is basically an example problem from Abaqus. I tried to reconstruct the whole set up by my own, following all the information available in the abaqus website. But I am not getting any results. Can anyone look at my inp file as attached and help me what the mistakes I did.

There's no inp file attached to this post. Please try uploading it again.

The analysis fails due to excessive distortion of some elements. You can see this in the output database. You must have made some mistake during set up. I've attached the working input file of this "Getting Started with Abaqus" example.

Thank you so much for our quick and constructive reply. I have been trying to pin point the problem for last several days but I was unable to find that out; now I am quite exhausted. I am not that expert with this software. Any expert like you could address the problems and let me know about the exact problem, that would be really appreciable. Thank you, Arif
