Anyone know the website address of Metalastic Bushes. I'm finding all the old mechanical household names cannot be found by searching because they've been taken over by the big corporate companies. Bugger the engineers, look after the shareholders.

Afraid not, I'm after the Metalastic Company themselves, thanks

I think the Metalastic names was used by Dunlop for their vulcanized metal/rubber bushings.

I think the trouble is that the word Metalastic has become generic for anything composed of a rubber/metal/plastic combination. Like I have information on rubber metal gaskets from Parker that a called Metalastic.

You could try and find who owns the trademark or the company register.

You might want to check with the company.

Standard Aero is currently constructing a 40,000-square-foot state-of-art CF34 engine repair facility on its present site in Winnipeg, Canada, with plans to expand that facility to exceed 120,000 square-feet in the future.
Standard Aero, a member of Dunlop Standard Aerospace, is the world's largest independent small gas turbine engine and accessory repair and overhaul facility. Standard Aero first began the repair and overhaul of turbofan engines used on mid-size regional jets in 1993. The company services Pratt & Whitney Canada, Rolls-Royce, Honeywell and General Electric engines used in regional airliners, helicopters, business aviation, military and government aircraft, and for industrial and marine applications. Standard Aero employs over 2,400 people worldwide.

I think Metalastik (with a 'K' at the end) is a registered tradename. Trelleborg supply Metalastik bearings, but I am not sure if they are the manufacturers. Try for more info. You could email them.

I just googled Metalastik with a 'k' and came up with a number of apparently good refernces depending on your application,

Thanks guys - Trelleborg seem to have them now. I suppose if you spell it with a c instead of k you won't get far.
