Method of calculation from the BPF Code of Practice wrong ?

Hi,

I have an example of roof load calculations - from the British Plastics Federation Code of Prctice, (top right column) found here: [URL unfurl="true"]http://postimg.org/image/y5tyi0bsr/[/url]

I have consulted these two maths forums - and they confirm the equation is incorrect, see here:

I have come here to hopefully get a structural engineers view on this simple equation mistake, maybe there is something I am missing - and it is not a mistake , be interested to get any opinions.
