Okay...first off I'm not asking for a copy of the SAE specs...what I'm trying to do is find out, before I purchase the specs, if the following SAE specs are the correct ones to dictate "Grade 10.9 rolled metric threads"

J1199 covers the mechanical and material requirements of metric fasteners. I assume this covers 10.9...also is stated it doesn't cover rolled threads...which leads me to the next spec.

J1237 does cover rolled metric threads...and I assume this only cover the requirements on rolling of the threads only and not mechanical and material requirements...

So do the two specs combined cover metric rolled threads...also the will be M12 threads...

I hope someone out there is familiar with this and can confirm or lead me into the right direction..because I would hate to plunk down $100 to find these specs are not applicable to my requirements...I just want to make sure that I'm calling out the right specs for my parts to be manufactured...

Thanks

SAE J1237 Metric Thread Rolling Screws covers the requirements for screws that roll their own mating threads (e.g. TAPTITE screws). Your initial post is ambiguous, but I don't think this is what you want.

If you want to specify rolled threads on a bolt/screw, then J1199 will work for you. Section 4.3 covers threading practice, and rolled threads are required for property class 10.9 M12 bolts up to 150 mm length.
