Dear All,

Can any one point out where accept or un-accept Metric size bolt used for ASME standard flange.

Information
From B16.5 para 1.6, it's only mention that "Except for diameter of bolts and flange bolt holes,
combining values from the two systems constitutes nonconformance with the Standard."

In actually application, it's very strange used Metric bolt to ASME standard flange.

ChiangJaron, B16.5, the sentence you quoted by any fair reading requires the use of inch-series bolts.

B16.47 per my older copy, units are in inches only, metric bolts are not within the spec.

Regards,

Mike

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand
