Hello all,

We are working on a project for a plant at British Columbia (Canada) and we are really struggling due to CRN restrictions.

Our biggest problem right now is that we have an ASME VIII Div.1 pressure vessel (235psi @ 400ºF) with a M18 P1,5 female thread port which we need to "plug", but we are totally unable to find an ASME-designed M18 P1,5 plug.

I have been trying to find an ASME standard that allows designing plugs with metric threads but I had no success.

Does somebody know if there is any ASME standard that allows designing plugs with metric thread?

PS: seal is achieved by means of a gasket.

ASME BPVC Sec. VIII Div.1 allows metric threads. Ensure your plugs meet all the relevant requirements. See UG-46 (i).

@jmec87, thank you very much for your reply.

When you say that our plugs must meet all the relevant requirements, what exactly do you mean? Where may I find the relevant requirements?

Thanks again, we are really desperate and any help is very much appreciated.
