Hi,
I cannot simulate this article "Numerical simulation of electrostatic field and flow field in an electrostatic precipitator".
I use the MHD Module and I have simulated Electric Potential but I don't know how to get Electric Field Strength and Ion charge density. Can anyone help me?
Appreciate your guidance. sorry for maybe my english is not good.

Field Strength is gradient of the potential. The degree of ionization is related to the field strength, the fluid and the particulate loads...good luck, there are no easy answers, that is what the simulation does.

you can start with simple geometry, in simple gas fluid.

The Precips I've dealt with had electrodes, and high voltage enough to ionize but not high enough for sustain breakdown.

In your case the electrodes create ions, but you don't really need to be concerned with the ion density as such.

Basically you only model the flows

good luck with your project
