I have been learning Microstation 3d.
Slow but sure.
I can make lots of models, but I can't seem to make shadows when rendering in any mode at all.
I have tried to follow all instructions but something must be wrong.
Can someone help?

ok, I was in the same situation and here's the solution...Go to RENDER in the Settings Menu and then choose Ray Tracing.

For shadows to be generated by an object in the model make sure that the shadows settings are ON in the fellowing dialog boxes:
- material definition (if any,
- the light source,and
- in the Rendering View Attributes.

it worked ok for me. good luck !
