Hi,

I am just starting out using Microstation after 18 years on ACAD and a few other packages and was wondering how to set up the user interface. I checked some tutorials on youtube and when they open a drawing they have a task bar on the left of the screen, when I open my version this does not appear (see attachments) I have searched everywhere but cannot find how to turn this feature on, as this could help me in finding commands in Microstation. Does anyone know how I can do this? also in an unrelated topic has anyone used Comos plant engineering software, I was wondering if this uses the microstation / plantspace interface.

Any help with this question and in the transistion to microstation would be great help.

Thanks,
SC

Tools=>Tasks (for V8i) Then just move it to the left side so that it docks

Hi BridgeEI,

Thanks for posting the response so quickly :) I tried what you have suggested, however I am only running V8 and the task command in not there, maybe it is only in the V8i version.

Thanks for your help though :)

The task menu only started in XM & V8i that i'm aware of. All in all, its just a shortcut for keeping all of the toolbars you need. In V8 you would just have to open all the toolbars you need, sorry i'm not much more help.
