Milk thread

We have provided filters to a customer. The customer is questioning the design of the filters and whether it is suited to the application.
the filters were supplied by one of our vendors.
The questions has to do with how the filter bowl attaches to the housing.
The vendor said that it is a "milk pipe connection which is tightened by pressurization".the filters were made in Europe.
Can someone give me a little insight into this thread type or point me in a direction? Is this also known as multi start thread" I tried a search here for milk threads and didn't find much.

A search on "milk pipe" gives hits on "DIN 11 851", which is a German national standard for a type of _joint_ first used in dairy piping.

Ask the filter supplier for help in defending the application.
