Hi,
I would appreciate if somebody can suggest a reference where min temp sustained by A36 structural steel has been given.

It will depend upon thickness, stress level and type of loads. AASHTO has some info about A36 material used at low temps.

The document TI 809-26 from the US Army Corps of Engineers, titled "Technical Instructions - Welding Design Procedures and Inspections" was available free at the time I downloaded it from the Internet, and contains information on the recommended Toughness Guidelines for Structural Steel in Fatigue Applications, Redundant Applications.

A36 is listed, and has recommended CVN impact energy requirements listed based on minimum service temperature.
