Hi,

I am trying to create a coiled tube with 0.014" thick coils, and a pitch value of .1. However, when I finished defining all the attributes and press OK in the Attributes table, I get an error message saying that some defined dimension are too small compared to other dimensions in the object. So, I changed the thickness value of the cross section from 0.014 to .2, and this time it worked. Is there a way to force Pro-E to accept the 0.014"? This coil thickness is an industry standard value for coiled tubes.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I can model a coil with .014 diameter x-sec, .25 inch diameter and pitch of .1 just fine in lengths from .1 to 1 inch or greater. I think your issue may be with the sweep profile dimensions.

Star for dgallup. Agreed that it is most likely due to accuracy.
