I am performing a transient analysis on a frame which holds enormous forces and moments. The forces are impulsive and exist for even less than a second.
I have created the force time relation and the graph is pretty smooth, what I mean to say through that is the number of steps involved is too much ( 48 to be exact ).
Following are the details about loads:
forces : 5 - all time varying upto 48 steps
Moments : 4 - all time varying upto 48 steps
Overall length of frame : about 1500mm
Width : about 1200mm
Mesh details:
more than 44000 elements, Comprised of combination of Shell and brick elements.
Aspect ratio : 1.45
All of this has to be repeated atleast 25 times as I am performing Optimization of the frame through DOE ( Design of Experiments ) by changing the thickness of the frame members.
Please find the meshed model of the frame in the attachement.
What should be the minimum system resource that i need to run this analysis?
