Does anyone know what is the minimum warranty on EHV equipment? We order two 150MVA reactors and one 600MVA transformer for a client, The client would like to know what is the minimum warranty on these type of EHV equipment. Does anyone know what type of of warranty is recommended for these equipment? Are there any industry standards?

Thanks,

The manufacturer should specify the warranty, in writing. Nothing can be implied as "industry standard". Some equipment requires installation documentation and validation in order for any warranty to be in effect.

It is better to have enough ideas for some of them to be wrong, than to be always right by having no ideas at all.

We just ordered 21 Pascor Atlantic double end break disconnect switches(TTT-7), 5000A rated for a 345kV sub. The switches have been delivered to the site now we are considering on adding ground switches to the new switches. Does any one know how much effort or what will it take to add a ground switch to the new switch? The new switch will be mounted on the existing steel structure. Is this something that will required extensive modification to the switch stand (steel structure)?

Thanks
