Minitab Help

Hello Experts,

I have a large burner in a furnace that burners natural gas as fuel. The combustion air is heated to save on fuel costs. I can measure the following variables in the combustion air supply temperature, pressure, volumetric flow rate scfm. I can also measure the natural gas volumetric flow rate scfm. Heres where I need the help, I want to run minitab test to analyze which variables make the most change on my process. Which test can I run and which graphs can I use to look at my results?

Thanks for any help.

I would start by using the main effects analysis where your main effects might be fuel costs and the others are inputs or contributing factors.

You can also run a regression analysis where you again define the inputs and outputs. This usually will assign a p vale to the inputs and the least significant ones usually drop out.

I suspect your prof is expecting you to run a design of experiments (taguchi)

Cheers
