Hi I'm trying to add extruded text to a block but i need it to be on both sides. As of now, I've independently recreated the text on both sides but is there any way to mirror and then flip the text? I can only mirror but then the text is backwards on one side. Trying to see if there's a way to flip too so if the text changes it both sides will update automatically. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

One trick is to create a datum plane with an angular control that allows patterning. Other than that there isn't a direct rotational symmetry operation that can be applied in the way that simple mirror is.

Another alternative is to create a UDF that accepts a parameter for the text and the two placement surfaces, and then some references to locate the text. At least this will cut down on the tedious nature of the activity.

Your text can come from a parameter. So you would have two features but both would be controlled from the same parameter so you only change it in one place and both features update.

The Help for this program was created in Windows Help format, which depends on a feature that isn't included in this version of Windows.

I believe you can rotate the text about an axis and get what you need. But it will only apply if the part is symetrical.
mirror+flip=rotate
