Hi,

I would like to use mirror assembly to mirror an assembly of a solid body with standarts part pocket in it.

I know the wave geometry link mirror command, but what I would like is to(for example) create an assembly of half a car with screw wheels etc..every thing with pocket opened, and mirror the all assembly with subassembly by a plane.

Weel, I´m abel to mirror acessories perfectly but not solid body with screw pocket in it.

The command let me choose many posibility of mirrored position for the solid body: I don´t understand that, because I believe that there is only one way to mirror correclty a solid body by plane.

Could some one light me on that mater.

Thanks

Have you tried Assemblies>Components>Mirror Assembly. The results are similar to mirroring all the components about a central plane except that it does it all in one step. Where necessary it creates new components with mirrored geometry, so you may have to manage the file naming in line with your part numbering system.

If you're concerned that a mirror thread becomes left handed then I sympathize but you may have to apply the thread after the mirroring operation.

Does Nx4 have any other way to mirror ?

hi,

After creating a simple example and discuss it with my tecnical support we have verified that the command mirror assembly just doesn´t work, even if you create the mirror before opening pockets it´s not reliable.

I hope UGS check this problem cause right now I´m having a lot of work that could be done automaticly.
