Hi,
can someone explain me the purpose of mirror body in sheet metal ?
The procedure is very awesome.
Why the feature doesn't merge the result like mirror feature ?
The procedure to use mirror body is the following :
1.Create half of the sheet metal body using normal NX Sheet Metal design practices and features.
2.Create a plane along one thickness face of the model upon which you want to mirror the body.
3.Change to the Modeling application and create the second half of the finished part using the Mirror Body command.
Choose Insert→Associative Copy→Mirror Body.
4.Unite the two bodies. Choose Insert→Combine Bodies→Unite.
5.Switch back to the NX Sheet Metal application and use the Convert to Sheet Metal command to change the final body to a sheet metal part.
On the NX Sheet Metal toolbar, select Convert to Sheet Metal, or choose Insert→Convert→Convert to Sheet Metal.
6.Create your Flat Solid or Flat Pattern feature, or continue your design.
Thank you...
Using NX 8 and TC8.3
