I am trying to find a constraint in abaqus analogous to something called a 'mirror' constraint in our own software.
What the mirror constraint does is mirror the movements/deflections for a particular set of slave nodes, to a govening set of controlling master nodes, 1 to 1 mapping. This is slightly different to a kinematic coupling, since as I said, its mirrored about a central axis. Imagine the movements of the nodes on one edge of a slice of pie, mirroring the movements of the nodes from the other side of the pie, relative to a central 'mirror' plane.
Hope this makes sense...
Any thing similar in abaqus?
Cheers.
