Mirrored (LH and RH) assembly drawings in NX

Is there way to generate parts list for reference assembly added in the drawing dataset. I tried to select parts from reference assembly however parts are not adding up in parts list. Reason for doing this is we have LH and RH assemblies created independently in temacenter. Would like to create drawing with exploded view in LH assembly drawing and in same LH assembly drawing calling RH assembly drawing as reference assembly in next sheet and showing the BOM for RH assembly.
In LH assembly drawing dataset.
Sheet 1, exploded views of LH assembly and parts callout
Sheet 2, assembled view and parts list for RH assembly.
Don’t want add RH assembly in LH assembly drawing dataset since it consumes memory and creates confusion. Looking for adding RH as reference assembly so that it will not show up drafting model.

I assume you are talking about the option to set a Drawing component to "component is reference only" ?
If that is the case, it is exactly doing what it is meant to do.

Appears when you run NX in Teamcenter-managed mode.

Lets you specify whether a component is reference-only. A reference-only component is removed from the parts list of its parent.

Adding a view as "View from Model" will do the same. it is set to reference only. You can remove this attribute from the properties and then it should show in the partlist again.
When you add a "View from model" the RH Assembly will still be loaded, therefor it consumes memory. Even when it is set to Reference Only.
