Hello friends!

I wish to know, how it's possible this difference in the OD of a spacer between the ASME code 16.48 and the PipeData Pro software, which is based in the same code ASME 16.48.

PIPEDATA ASME 16.48
6" ID 159 mm 168 mm
OD 219 mm 219 mm
10" ID 260 mm 273 mm
OD 337 mm 337 mm

Which one is the correct one?

Thanks in advance,

David

The code is always correct. How can it not be ;-)?

It seems the mismatch is in the ID. Maybe the software has used a different schedule?

Thanks @XL83NL for your reply!

I know that I always have to follow the code but ... I use to work with PipeData Pro because is quickier than looking for a specific rule in a pdf. And the Pipedata iself is based on ASME. So I'm confused.

Anyway, I will use the values of the ASME code. :)

Pipedata-Pro reflects the latest ASME 16.48. The 16.48 dimension you quote are from an old release of the specification.
