I'm using Solid Edge ST (V20) and there seems to be a few command missing.
The threading tool and the blue dot tool are definitely not where the help file says they are.
And although the command bar is there for the thin wall tool there the extended options in the on the side are gone.

I'm not a regular SE user so maybe maybe I'm missing something obvious.
Thanks in advance.

hmm, ST1 or ST2, Sync or trad. mode?

- threading tool is on Home - Solids below Hole
- ThinWall --> the Options can be found after the command
is started on the sidebar (Common Thickness, Openfaces
and Unique Thickness
- BlueDot: Surfacing -- Surface -- upper row 2nd from right

The Help is somewhat behind use the 'Command Finder' instead

Thanks Don
I'm using ST1 in sync mode

Hole is the only option on that tab. There is no thread. The only tool with a drop down menu on that tab is Round with blend and chamfer.

The side bar remains blank after I start the thin wall command.

There is definitly no blue dot in my surfaces tab. The upper row, 2nd from right is trim.

If I type "thread" into the command finder there are no results. If I type "blue dot" the only result is blue surf.

I'm seriously starting to think we've been sold some dud software.

Aah, that's a different 'beast':

ST1-Sync has no Threading --> implemented in ST2
BlueDot is not available neither in ST1-Sync nor in ST2-Sync
(maybe in ST3 or it's of no use in sync, don't know)

ThinWall specifies the Option on the QuickBar: OpenFaces
and add/remove faces not more. The wall thickness will show up
in a Pop-Up

Current (actual) version is ST2

One word of warning: Sync is a lot different from trad. mode
when it comes to modelling and/or changing a model.

/Edit

found this within the Help for BlueDots (ST2):

"The Use BlueDots option is available only in a traditional document. The BlueDots functionality is not available in a synchronous document.
"
still to come or ...?
