Missing part from section/detail view

I'm at my wits end.

I've done searches, but it's hard to search and not be too general.

Please give me some areas to check...where a part in an assembly is not showing up in a section view.

...It's not some of the obvious answers...Hide/Show Bodies,...Components. I've looked in the assembly tree - the part isn't there - it is however in the model. Is there a way I can add it? I'm about to 'cheat.' - you know sketch it into the drawing view.

Can you post any screenshots or models? Are you sure you just aren't sectioning all the way through that part?

Okay...

The arrow on the left calls out 904xxx - which is the missing part, but the section view on the right does not contain 904xxx.

Figured it out...I think don't know for the life of me why.

Maybe it's a glitch...er - I mean 'feature.'

I just moved the section line, and it showed up.

It's difficult to tell from those images. I can't see if the part is included in the section view or not. If it isn't in the section view, it obviously won't be in the detail view. Have you tried moving your section line to be sure you aren't just cutting it out?

Yeah...it's figured out - it was in the section view, but I moved a hair over, and it showed up.

Just FYI, I have this happen for assemblies with imported parts that do not end up as solid bodies, or have some surfaces. Sometime it won't section, sometimes the part disappears.
