Missing Part in Drawing

I have tried everything I can think of, so it is time to ask the experts. I have a large frame assembly that is not showing a sub-assembly in any of the views. Apparently no one has ever noticed this before; the print is at rev p now. I have checked the assembly, the model is there, not hidden, suppressed or blanked. In the drawing I have checked to see if the components have been blanked, and I get "no blanked models" response. I have also checked to see if the parts were put on a layer that got hidden, no help there. My last thought was that the lines were erased perhaps, so I made another view and still the sub-assembly does not show up. What am I missing?

HI HUNTRESS

Try under the menus, view update all sheets or all views.

Hi Huntress,

Other thing to look for is if that part or assembly has interference with another part, proe sometimes blanks stuff to show that there is some sort of interference.

Do a global interference calc, this should tell you if it interfering with something else...

Tofflemire,

I did the regen, update view for all sheet before, missed that one my list. I forgot about the interference issue and yes, there were two small areas but it does not seem logical for even Pro to blank this sub-assembly since it shows up on the opposite side.

I'll keep looking, this will drive me nuts till I find the reason!

Hi Huntress,

Is this a section view? If so try the properties of the view and maybe a different sectioned part in that view was set to ignore and you part is behind it. After that, I would try to get ride of the interference to see if the part shows up again...

You can set layers per view, which would not show up in the "drawing" layer list.
Use the pick arrow and pick a view to check it.

I tried the layer thing, no independent layers existed. Also, the view was a general view without sections. I tried it all with nothing that worked. I looked at an old rev and thought that the sub-assembly was not showing all the lines, my mistake but I still could not get the sub-assembly to show in my print. I checked to make sure it was there by modifying the view to show hidden lines, there it was. I resorted to going back to the old rev where the object did show up correctly and bringing that one back into Intralink. Don't know what I did but I need my old Pro/E brick.

Thanks for the help though... things to remember if it happens again.
