I have been experiencing a strange problem.

Parts within an assembly are not showing up when the assembly is opened. The tree shows that they are not suppressed or hidden. Mates for those parts are also damaged. If I open the part file, the feature tree shows everything is ok BUT the part is not shown (nothing at all). If I rebuild the part, it shows up in the part file and assembly which it came from just fine. All those damaged mates are also ok! I have to do this (reload) with every missing part within that assembly! So It's not all but some parts on that assembly...

Strange!! Does anyone been experiencing same kind of problems??

Sounds like you have in-contexted relationships and they are circular referenced. You need to check out which files are causing the issue by breaking the relationships and redoing them. But this time be careful not to in-context the sketches or the features more than once.

It's not about references!! There is no such between missing parts. What is amazing is that not all parts of assembly are missing, just some. Can it be caused by network problems?? We have had some issues on that area lately. One other thing about the missing part is that when I open it and rebuild it I have to it for all configurations!!

What is your system? Versions, RAM, OS, etc.

I am guessing here.
Are you sharing these parts with others on network drives without a PDM?

I have XP (version 2002, SP1) with 2,4GHz P4 and 1 GB of RAM. Display adapter is NVIDIA Quadro FX500. This is my computer but my colleagues have different settings and they have same problems.

We don't have PDM system running so we do share them without.

Like you can imagine this is very annoying and time spending problem.

IMO...2GB of RAM should be used. For your video card check your driver version, I believe it should be 6.14.10.5303.
My pc had the FX500 then I switched to the Quadro4 750XGL.
I have not had any display problems since. Also, try changing your Nvidia 'display settings' to 'SolidWorks'.

Did you ever find a resoulution for your problem?

jagadmin in thread559-98674 has a very similar problem.
