Missing .shx files 1

I recently received a number of files from a co-worker and when I open the files I receive messages to the effect that there are missing .shx file. I have ignored the message by and can eventually open the file, but I have noticed that the missing files have effected some of the text and lines. My co-worker has since left and his computer has been wiped, so there is no chance of retrieving the files directly. Is there a way to get around having to click through 20 of these messages everytime I open a file?

so you can not say anything about the shx file?

Try from the Express Tools (READ THE HELP):
DUMPSHX
Converts existing SHX (compiled) files to the equivalent SHP (decompiled) files.
OR
