Hello.
Is it acceptable if I have a valve designed according to EN 12516-2 and the pressure boundary parts are made of ASTM/ASME materials? If I have welds among these pressure boundary parts, the Welding plans and procedures should be according to EN or ASTM/ASME standards? The NDTs of these welds should also be according to EN or ASTM/ASME?
As a summary, the question would be: If there is the presence of 2 different standards (EN for the design code of the valve and ASTM (or ASME) for the pressure boundary parts), which one is the most important? Or which one should rule over the other?
Can someone (try to) answer these questions, please? Your help is highly appreciated.
Thank you very much.
