Modal Analysis Question -- 3D and 2D Models Finding Different Results

I am performing a modal analysis of a simple (rectangular cross section) cantilever beam and comparing the natural frequencies provided by the model to experimental data. When I model the beam as a 3D deformable solid, the natural frequencies come out to be approximately an order of magnitude too low. When I use a 2D wire model and assign a beam section however, the results come out almost perfectly compared to the experimental data. All material properties and other settings are the same and I am very confused as to why these two models are outputting such different values. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

What solid element type are you using and how many elements do you have in each direction?
