Hi,
I am doing frequency analysis using FE methods for a frame like structure. Natural frequencies and mode shapes are calculated with the use of 1D element considering simple frame structure. Now I want to validate the results computed with the use of 1D elements with actual experimental results for stress calculations at various locations.
Does anybody have an idea regarding 'Modal Updating', which can be use to validate results? Basically, I need to know what will be the correction factors and/or model update parameters to be implemented to reduce the error between my model and physical experiments on a actual component.
Thanks!
