Model Dimension Symbols used in Drawings

I'm trying to use the dimension symbol from the model on my drawing in order to have it linked to the model. When I create a dimension in the drawing using show and erase and then later add a second dimension using its symbol from the model to the text line using properties the dimension shows up fine. BUT! If I create a dimension by hand using the insert dimension and then try to create a second dimension with that using the symbol from the model all I get is a text display of that dimension's symbol. So for example I create a dimension that is a hole diameter that is not part of show and erase and there is 5 holes patterned and I want to add the 5 hole parameter to that dimension I would type a dimension symbol &p145 to that hole diameter, but all I get to display is the &p145 and not the dimension value.

Hi reconbomber,

You cannot add two symbols on a show/created dimension.

You have now 2 solutions:

A. Keep the dimension created and add a note (as a dim related) under or near your dimension. The text note can be: &p145 PLACES (example). The note can contain multiple symbols.

B. Instead of creating a dimension, create a note.
